About us

Who says seniors are all Republicans? Not us. We support the principles of the Democratic Party: Equality, Justice, and Opportunity for all.

While most of us are retired, we care about the future of this country where we live, and our children and grandchildren will live after us. We work together so that they will live in a country where they will be treated with dignity and respect. Where affordable healthcare is a right for all. Where the schools and streets should be free from gun violence. And where a woman’s decisions about her own body are hers to make.

We meet monthly to hear from local candidates and other speakers who keep us up to date on the political state of our community. Many of us actively participate to elect Democratic candidates and to hold current public officials accountable for their actions. Examples are: distributing candidate literature, campaign sign waving, contacting our representatives with concerns, attending public forums, writing letters to the newspaper, addressing postcards, contributing to campaigns, and staffing our information table at the Activity Center on Club Days. There is a way for everyone to use their talents to support the cause.

But we also have fun. We get together regularly to relax, have an adult beverage and shoot the breeze. No need to check our speech for fear of upsetting someone of a different view. We’re all liberals here, and political talk is encouraged.

So, if you’re of like mind and want to make an impact on the future of our country and also meet a group of fantastic people, our club is for you. We meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 2pm. Check the calendar for location.
